“Architectual Mind”

So as ever I’ve been working loads! and not had a great deal of time to shoot so I’ve been shooting to and from work and if I’ve finished early. I seem to have a Architectural mind on me at the moment, I’ve been photographing and stitching my images together in the “Hockney” style and I’m working on a project which will be revealed later in the year! here’s a few I’ve done.

Not only am I shooting this I’m in the middle of shooting some images for a collaboration exhibition with Jonesy the Fashion portrait photographer. So I busy busy busy…..

Any way here’s a few shots that I’ve taken over the past few days yes shooting Fuji Neopan 400CN again! Another post will come soon I’ve received my transparency slides back from Fuji.

“who shoots film these days, can’t you afford a digital camera”

I’ve had a few days of so I’ve shot a whole lot of film. I love the Fuji Neopan film It’s great ! it gives me some of the best results from a majority of B&W film that I’ve used. So I’ve had a few interesting days at one point someone (a guy) decided that they owned the “world” and I wasn’t aloud to photograph anything! yeah someone got in my face because I’m a Street Photographer What a ?@&^….. They were trying to make me show them the last shot I had taken but obviously I was shooting film and couldn’t! he replied “who shoots film these days, can’t you afford a digital camera” (obviously I can I have several including a Leica M8) The ordaserty of some poeple buy the way if you try to intimidate me by your “Six Pack” that isn’t going to work I’ll just look at you laugh then walk away . . .

Anyway the lovely sunny weather helped me get some interesting reflections and shadow shots. So here’s a few shots from my Bessa R2, with Neopan 400CN, Ilford XP2 :

23RD day of march “NEOPAN400″

So if you read the last post about my “Sensia” film you’ll no that I bought my niece her first film camera! We had a good day shooting she was shooting like there was no tomorrow she’s only 3 but damn she loves taking photos I received a call from her via her nan that was looking after “uncle Ryan my camera won’t take anymore pictures I need more film” she shot a roll of Fuji c200 36exp as her first ever roll film. I was along side here shooting “my new found love” Fuji Neopan ! on the Bessa R2 which Ella kept eying up “one day I’ll have a big camera like you unc Ry” She may well get mine If I get my Dream 35mm Camera (Leica M6) So if anyone out there feels like giving me one I’d be more than happy to take it off your hands ! So here’s a few shots from the Neopan I shot:

My “Fuji Sensia” came home !

So luckily for me I received a roll of Fuji Sensia in my “secret santa” from work! ( oh yeah thanks Pete) not only was it a fantastic film but it included Processing by the Fuji Lab ! Damn I got excited like a kid getting their first bike or the “it” toy of the month. So on the 16th March I set out and shot the roll of Sensia (the weather was finally good) I ran to the Post office (you should have seen me I would have won gold in the Olympics) and posted it in the vein hope that the post box was going to spit out my transparency’s 24 hours later, NO I had to wait a whole 6days (Not bad Fuji Lab). So I received them back from Fuji in the post (it was rather exciting) but I was looking after my niece Ella I had just bought her, Her first 35mm Camera a Samsung Fino 115s so I couldn’t jump in and view them, scan the so unfortunately for my unwell deprived partner I spent most (not all) the night scanning them in (I did watch the end of the film with my partner half eyes open! sorry). So here’s a few from my first Street Sensia roll and expect more:

A new look to the future. . . .

A little change to my blog and website I had to many image outlets! FLICKR, FACEBOOK, 500PX, BLOGS and my website so I’ve decided to just concentrate on my FACEBOOK, BLOG and website. all the other outlets will be come in active for a while at least!

As you may also no I have been shooting a lot more 35mm Film rather than digital this is because I love and appreciate the process more than I do digital, when I shoot digital I become a performing monkey shoot, convert, post and that’s it nothing much to the process. But with film shoot, process, look over, create a selection, scan, tweak (no editing or cropping) and publish ! satisfaction and a beautiful negative. So here’s a few shots oh and I’ve decided not to published a shed load of images !

There not great but OK so here they are:

Fuji Neopan 4 Hundred

So as I said in a previous post I’ve been shooting more 35mm film than I have digital on my Voigtlander Bessa R2 (what a camera!). I’ve been trying out diffeent films to see which I like the best so at the moment I’m shooting Neopan CN400 (c41 Process) so here’s a few shots from the 2nd roll of film.
